Point 2
The next stop was the Ancient Civilisation Museum. The Ancient Civilisation Museum showcases the cultures and history behind the the people of Asia. Before that building was turned into a museum, it used to be called Empress Place. Empress Place used to house the various government departments during the colonial days in Singapore. It was named after the Empress of India, Queen Victoria.
Civic District Trail
We reached the Old Parliament Road at about 9.05am. The weather was perfect. It was a good day to go on a trail. The first point in the trail was the landing site of Sir Stamford Raffles. It was located along the bank of the Singapore River. Raffles founded Singapore in the year 1819.
